Seorang balita bernama Karim, yang belum genap berusia dua tahun, dilaporkan menjadi korban penyiksaan oleh tentara 'Israel' guna menekan ayahnya, Osama Abu Nassar, agar memberikan pengakuan saat proses interogasi lapangan.

Kejadian bermula saat Osama sedang keluar bersama anaknya untuk membeli keperluan rumah tangga. Namun, mereka terjebak dalam kepungan tembakan di dekat perbatasan timur Maghazi. Di bawah ancaman drone quadcopter, Osama dipaksa meninggalkan anaknya di tanah dan maju ke arah pos pemeriksaan militer untuk diperiksa.

Berdasarkan kesaksian ibu korban dan laporan medis yang beredar, tentara diduga menyiksa Karim kecil di depan ayahnya. Luka-luka yang ditemukan meliputi bekas sundutan rokok di tubuh serta luka tusukan paku besi di bagian kaki. Karim ditahan selama sekitar 10 jam tanpa orang tuanya sebelum akhirnya diserahkan kembali ke pihak keluarga melalui perantara Palang Merah di pasar Maghazi.

Hingga laporan ini diturunkan, Osama Abu Nassar dikabarkan masih berada dalam tahanan militer, sementara keluarganya berjuang memulihkan trauma fisik dan psikis yang dialami Karim.
