@Ginny_Bixby small error in the “what to know” article. In topic 5, you use the marker of “less than $81,950” as defining both extremely low income and very low income.
@JonathanBlitzer, a tiny fact error in an otherwise great book. On page 147 of the paperback, you refer to the District of Columbia’s legislative body as a “city council.” However, DC does not have a city council; it has a District Council.
@mattyglesias@daveweigel Court took the issue of gay marriage away from the political process; on these sports participation issues, it will acknowledge substantial leeway for the political process. Adds up to dems being stuffed deeper into the pain locker.
@oucmecalling311@maustermuhle You may be thinking of the Lordestown model, but I thought DC only bought one of those. (As to the existing fleet, even the ICE models are often occupied only by the driver; cosmetically at least, all fleet vehicles are kept in good shape.)
@MedStarWHC@lowninstitute I wish that social responsibility was shared with those who live near your outsourced parking. Your employees and shuttle driving to/from the Brookland garage routinely put residents at risk with speeding, red light running, Boston left taking, and other reckless driving.
@wmataGM It happens. As someone stuck on a train, the real frustration was receiving no actionable update. Hearing “we’ll be moving shortly” every 40 seconds was infuriating. Can you not tell us, “We’ll be holding at this station for 10 mins due to single tracking.”?
