I’m looking forward to @Channel4News balanced interviews with women & girls who feel unsafe with males in their bathrooms, or the women & girls who feel cheated by men or boys in their sports?
Are all the people who say Betsy and Dylan’s encounter was consensual aware of the law? And that once she had a stroke it becomes non-consensual?
And further to that, if you believe passionately that the law is wrong, would you be prepared to campaign for a law that allowed people to choke their partners during sex no matter what the consequences were?
How many Betsys need to end up in hospital before you understand there is no safe way to strangle someone?
Wow I’m shocked!
There was a study where they did a blood test on 30 women, 15 who had and 15 who hadn’t partaken in choking during sex, and the 15 who had all showed signs of brain damage
This is why it’s an important SL for #corrie to cover! Brilliant interview @DuncanLindsay
strangulation is very dangerous - even when it’s between two consenting people. I am shocked that corrie is doing this storyline but it is so incredibly important because most people truly have no idea just how dangerous it can actually be
