Something cute, but mildly nerve-wracking, happened in Singapore Parliament yesterday. MPs were asked to solve a math problem, presented in two ways. The minister was showing how breaking a problem into steps helps - which is the method they follow in Singapore schools.

Singapore MPs are famously well educated - I’m sure they did fine, though the overall score was never revealed.
