#ItalianGP 🇮🇹 | Lewis Hamilton post qualifying:
“We have a really great car, I think we have a really great car. It’s all Mercedes’ engines ahead of us so I think we’ve done a good job to be as close as we are to them. But they’re gaining several tenths still on the straight and that’s… it is what it is.”
“We have to do the best we can. We’re hoping for some tracks that don’t rely, maybe, too much on power. Hopefully in the future. But I’m really grateful to the guys back at the factory because they did bring an upgrade here. They are really pushing, it’s just the situation that we’re in.”
Dream cars don't die. They wait.🔥🔥
Lewis Hamilton just found a 1991 Ferrari F40 — sat in a garage for 30+ years, covered in dust, untouched — and brought her home.
Not to a private shop. To Maranello.
Ferrari Classiche engineers spent weeks bringing the twin-turbo V8 monster back to life. Engine out. Full restoration. The last car ever approved by Enzo Ferrari himself.
He sold his whole car collection in 2025 — Zonda, LaFerrari, Project One, everything. Said he's more into art now. Except for one.
The F40. No ABS. No traction control. No power steering. Just 471hp, pure beauty, and a piece of art.
A barn-find that got to go back to where it was born. Now Lewis driving it on the roads of Maranello where it belongs.
This is what love ❤️ for Ferrari looks like.

🚨| Lewis Hamilton: "Firstly I think the team, the guys in the garage, did a fantastic job with pit stops, strategy was generally very, very good. The car felt awesome and they've worked so hard to continue to provide a bit of an upgrade here. We're just chipping away at it all the time. We're losing still this first half of the season. We've been losing three to five tenths on the straight depending on which track we go to. That's a hard deficit to overcome just through corners, but we're close."
"Today was definitely frustrating for me. I'm here to win and I really believe that this team can win. Whether or not we couldn't win this race, but to win championships you have to pick up every point. The last few races have been difficult with penalties and stuff. Today I lost several seconds behind Charles, which I think ultimately probably could have, would have made the difference at the end. But we'll take it offline."
"My goal is to try and lead this team to the top, to the championship. We've got some work to do for sure."
"We need to hit the ground running in Monza. Perfect execution. So, I hope our pace is a little bit better in Monza. I hope we're able to do well, to go to Monza as a Ferrari driver and hopefully be fighting towards the front would be something special."

“P5 start tomorrow. We have a massive fight ahead of us tomorrow, one the team and I are really looking forward to. Send good vibes, pray for some rain! ✌🏽”
🚨| Lewis Hamilton: "I feel optimistic. 5th is not the greatest, but it could be far far worse, so I'm grateful to be there and of course I wish I was up further ahead, however I think our race pace was pretty good in the race. Charles had a good race pace this morning and I feel optimistic, I think the car is in a better place, so I think hopefully with the right strategy, with the right execution, I think hopefully we can challenge the guys ahead."
🚨| Lewis Hamilton on the up and down weekend so far.
"I think when we started off FP1 the car felt great, I was consistent, but of course there was still, there's always areas that you feel like you can improve, so we made subtle changes to try and fix those improvements and it flipped the car on its head and it was horrible through sprint qualifying and then all through the race I just had no confidence in the balance, and we made all these changes into qualifying, so I was learning a new car again, a new balance again, which I'm much happier with, but now trying to progress with it, learning it in only like six laps was a challenge, but also the Mercedes are up ahead now that we have a bit of a deficit on power, so I think tomorrow I think our race pace should be better and I think as I said the car is better (for the race)."

🚨| Lewis Hamilton on that last pit stop decision and the first half of this F1 season.
"I definitely don't think we should have taken the stop. The call came literally just before the pit lane entry, and I didn't have time to debate. And you've got to trust the decision that's been taken. In hindsight, my tyres were totally fine. I was probably going to lose out to Max, but I think I could have kept third at least. And then, yeah, just opened up the door obviously to the penalty there at the end."
"I definitely am [optimistic for the second half of the season]. I'm massively grateful to the team, because they've really done a great job in this first half. I think the last three races, for me, have not been great. Lots of mistakes. A mistake at Silverstone that cost dearly and then obviously in the last race as well. So, yeah. And then this weekend. So, a lot of penalties in the last three races. So, I've got to work hard to not give them the opportunity to give me [more] penalties moving forwards."
