Night City is brutal, but the cameraman never dies 👀
A new look at Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 has fans joking that the possible new lead may actually survive Night City, simply because he appears to be a camera man. It plays into the long-running internet joke that the “cameraman never dies,” even when everyone else is caught in chaos.
The joke hits even harder because Edgerunners is known for being brutal. Season 1 followed David Martinez’s rise through Night City’s underworld and left fans emotionally destroyed by its ending. Now, the next anime is confirmed to be a new standalone story with fresh characters, returning to Night City with a rawer and more realistic direction.
So while fans are expecting more pain, violence, and tragedy, they’ve already decided this new camera-wielding character might have the strongest plot armor in the entire franchise.
It looks like Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 may have found its safest character 📹
Ateneo still has the opportunity to make things right, tho.
Fire Tab and his team. Offer compensation packages and scholarships to families of Adili and Rene.
Be transparent. In everything.
Let your players speak without fear of retaliation or consequence.
GRETCHEN HO: SILENCE FUELS SPECULATION 🗣️
“As a former student-athlete of Ateneo, this tragedy hits very close to home. It is, deeply painful.
There are legitimate questions about what happened, and I trust that the multi-stakeholder body formed by the PSC, together with representatives from the UAAP, SBP, CHED, and NYC, will establish the facts and present them to the public at the appropriate time.
Understandably, people are still in a state of shock, and we should allow them this space to grieve and find their footing. However, silence will only allow speculation and false narratives to thrive. We trust that the institution we call home will do the right thing.”
