@andybudd Frequently find that even when given wireframes / flows, UI designers often overlook interactive requirements (hover / focus / disabled states, etc) in a way that is sustainable in a design system.

Perhaps there needs to be an "Interactive design" curriculum that addresses this?

Had a thought about team balancing between UI Designers and Developers:

For new / smaller products, a designer can produce at a rate that will keep 2 developers busy.

For larger, existing products, a designer can produce at a rate that will keep 3-4 developers busy.

@jessicahische I completely agree. I frequently tell people that working from your home 100% of the time is overrated. The best is a mix, and the option to stay home.

Also, if half of your life is spent working, it's nice to do it alongside other people. I enjoy office life.

@chriscoyier Themes are a great idea that in practice are very difficult to do well. It requires getting the right theme for the job and *not* trying to customize it too much.

For folks who don't want to spend $10k+ on their site, they're a great option, IF they can work within the limits.

In case you might want to use @xbrowsertesting for device / browser testing, beware they don't send any notification of plan renewal so you'll have to monitor the renewal date yourself or get stuck.

@brad_frost Not that it helps, but MediaTemple was a solid option back in the day... until You Know Who bought them. I hoped it wouldn't have too big an impact but I think it's the GoDaddy empire trickling down.
