Thought I might start putting some of my artwork up.
I wanted to do a figurative painting in the manner of Paul Cezanne.
I came up with a new composition and decided to have a crack at his style.
"Le Pomiculteur" (The Apple Grower)
Paint on wooden panel (42cm X 33cm)
@russellcrowe
I watched The Pope's Exorcist a couple of days ago. I think it's the finest performance I have seen Russell Crowe give. I was blown away by the range, timing, subtlety and depth of his characterisation. Outstanding.
@JasonManford Well put Mr Manford.
Forget the working class vs middle class divide and the Northern vs Southern. Looks like an irrational, entertainment vs non entertainment one.
I mean, what next?
"Found innocent of murder, Sandra.
Bet it's cos he made that cherry pavlova on bake off."
They should bring Little and Large back.
I know what you're thinking. However, I've got a special book. Kind of a loophole affair so have no fear on that front. The golden arches can't wait to kick him out.
@RealDMitchell@BBCOne@BBCFrontRow I've just watched two episodes in a row.
I love it David. It's extremely additive.
The humour in the writing is brilliant.
Great casting, superb acting, directing, editing...
Rough prototype/design for a trick.
Decision made by myself and Alun:
To be filed away. Permanently.
Too mechanically cumbersome and quite frankly, the world will quite happily live without another Rubik Cubeยฎ trick.
I detest them however, I do love Monsieur Hulot. Any excuse.
@Skindredmusic@Channel4@SundayBrunchC4 You were phenomenal on Sunday brunch. The fact you got a standing ovation from Lang Lang, said it all. Incredible showmanship and as tight as a knat's chuff. Listened to you all afternoon whilst doing a painting and for the first time in my life, I've found my favourite band.
@daveatherton@bbcpress Just found this blue paint, pencil and ball in the garden.
It is very easy to read too much into something that is unconnected, changing details to fit is also common.
I'll just check in this obscurely coloured book, that (rather like the octopuss,) is definitely not blue.
@JulianClary Yes Julian, thought I'd cheer mine up with some 1970's lights. Suddenly, there was an intense smell of Bombay Duck, a bang that made Nagasaki sound like a caterpillar's fart, darkness and a neurotic dog.
I should have stood on something thick and rubbery.
JCB tyre? Or Clarkson?
