To everyone so eager to cancel someone for a tattoo they got at age 22, a drunk text, a selfie they took in the middle of a mental health crisis:
Show us your laptop.
Show us your iCloud.
Open your entire digital life to your worst enemy. No context. No filter. No explanation.
You won’t.
You won’t because you know what I know. Any one of us, frozen at our worst moment, photographed in our lowest hour, looks like a monster. Looks like a stranger. Looks like someone who deserves to be cast out.
That is not who we are.
My mom and baby sister were killed in a car accident when I was just a kid. Cancer took my brother Beau, my best friend and my rock. I battled alcoholism. I battled addiction. I chose the coward’s way out more times than I can count.
For years I believed the defining chapters of my life were written by tragedy, loss, and shame.
I no longer believe that.
Pain can shape us. Loss can humble us. Failures can leave scars that never fully fade. But none of them have the authority to define us.
And it sure as hell ain’t the critic that counts.
That authority belongs to us alone-the person in the arena.
Every setback presents a choice. Play the victim, or cut the bullshit and take ownership for who we become next.
Life does not determine our character. It reveals it.
Again and again we are asked the same question. When shit happens, what next?
We are not defined by what happened to us. We are not defined by the worst photo, the worst text, the worst tattoo, the worst night. We are defined by the person we choose to become. And by the courage to choose that person, every single day.
So before you reach for the gavel - show us your laptop.
You won’t.
The whole world saw mine. And I am still here. Still becoming. Still choosing. Still standing.
That is the only definition that matters.
Hey there @Schopptalk it's embarrassing that you think it's okay to openly admit that you didn't watch the hockey game because you had to record a fantasy football podcast in May. You're paid a lot of money to be one of two afternoon hosts to discuss sports with the city of Buffalo. And yet you're more concerned with your fantasy football than the most important playoff hockey game around here in 20 years. I've said before that I don't think you do a great job anymore because your life is consumed with fantasy football but this is a new low. You have a job most people would covet and you take it for granted. If you want to talk fantasy football 24/7, Go get a 3-hour show on 1520. I feel bad that Chris has to cover for you on a daily basis and make you look better than you deserve because you're too caught up in your podcast which I'm sure doesn't get a tenth of the listenership your 3 to 6 radio program gets. It's time for a change on the afternoon show. It's time to bring in somebody who embodies the new slogan of your station and be the voice of the fan.
@barstoolspringb@stoolpresidente As a 36 year old with 3 kids, I feel for @Return_Of_RB here…anybody have any idea what a lump on a log is? Any relation to a bump on a log? Go Sabres!
@JeremyWGR if only the bills had a number one WR they would score 44 points and be 7-3
Maybe realize the bills offense is fine with Allen and cook and focus on real issues like the defensive line

@BitchingBeane @JeremyWGR@Mikerauty5@BellcowNation keeping Bass around is like holding onto a White Hot Odyssey putter instead of upgrading to a Scotty Cameron because it’s cute and sentimental. Time to leave the old clubs at home and put some new clubs in the bag!!!
@markpoloncarz How much waste and fraud is contained in these programs? Are you just going to file a lawsuit regardless of what’s cut? Seems ridiculous to posture like this before seeing what actually happens! Maybe a better route is to be open to what the other side thinks? #Polonclown
@ByTimGraham Hello Tim, hope all is well! Sources say you were spotted at Elmo’s last night. They have the best wings!! What flavor did you get?
#TeamDrum#Drums4Life
This is a travesty. The @CityofBuffalo, @markpoloncarz and @MayorScanlon should be ashamed. The Naval Park has been scratching and clawing for over 2 years to get funding for this endeavor, but the City has been uncooperative at every turn. The ships are its responsibility, too
The City of Buffalo promised the naval park $1M in federal ARP cash to fund repairs to USS The Sullivans & USS Croaker. That cash was withdrawn and rolled into revenue replacement. But the city says they'll find another way to bankroll the repair project.

@Schopptalk schopp man pls find some hobbies other than fantasy. I’m so sick of getting in my car to leave work and every single day you can’t go a minute without mentioning fantasy- pls stop
@WBEN Sean Ryan has no business still being a NYS Senator, he’s the byproduct of our failed 2 party system (his and Ed Rath’s district were gerrymandered together to be 4 to 1 democratic) and nobody from Buffalo with a brain even likes him. Guys a loser and Scanlon will douse him.
