Azuki TCG officially launches tomorrow in card shops across the US.

watch the trailer first. it means a lot to me because it’s not actors pretending to like tcgs. they're real players who happen to be friends and early supporters, and we're all hype af for the game to launch!

from the beginning, we tried to build azuki tcg with players at the center. what would be actually fun to play? what prizes actually matter? how do we make something worthy of people’s time when there are already so many great games out there?

what i’m most proud of is seeing people sit down to actually play and enjoy the game. it sounds corny but coming from a mostly digital beginning, it's true. there's a real community that's blossoming. and that’s always been the magic (hah) of tcgs to me. the art matters, the collecting matters, the competition matters, but the best part are all the friends you meet along the way.

sounds familiar right? many of these things we've enjoyed about azuki since the early days, it's just now happening in an additional medium

when we started working on the tcg almost 2 yrs ago, they were not the obvious thing to build. a lot of people thought we should make a purely digital game, and that physical cards were too niche, or that this was not where the market was going. but we believed azuki should be experienced in the real world too. i'm happy to have stuck by our conviction and kept our heads down to build this game.

Gates Awakened is only set 1. huge shoutout to @JCM1117 and @_Tomugi for leading this game from the beginning, and to everyone who has played, collected, tested, hosted, taught, supported, or simply believed early. we're already cooking on future sets and the game is only going to get better.
