La Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU) ha condenado oficialmente el bloqueo petrolero contra Cuba y anuncia el despliegue de ayuda humanitaria para paliar la crisis energética y alimentaria agudizada por esta medida coercitiva.
📌 Lo esencial:
▪️La Asamblea General de la ONU, en sesión de urgencia, ha aprobado una resolución que condena explícitamente el bloqueo al suministro de combustible a Cuba por considerarlo una violación al Derecho Internacional y una amenaza al bienestar humano.
▪️Se activará un puente humanitario coordinado por agencias de la ONU (FAO, PMA, OMS) para garantizar el envío de medicamentos, alimentos y recursos esenciales.
▪️El Secretario General destacó que “asfixiar energéticamente a un país es una forma de castigo colectivo incompatible con la Carta de las Naciones Unidas”.

🔗 Contexto inmediato:
👉 Esta resolución llega tras la orden ejecutiva de Trump del 29 de enero que declaraba una “emergencia nacional” para imponer sanciones extraterritoriales a quienes vendan petróleo a Cuba. La medida había sido denunciada por Cuba como un “acto de guerra económica” y recibió el rechazo de Rusia, Vietnam, China, México y decenas de países.

🎯 Significado histórico:
👉 Es la primera vez que la ONU condena específicamente el bloqueo energético como una violación separada del bloqueo económico general, sentando un precedente jurídico internacional. Representa un respaldo abrumador a la soberanía cubana y un rechazo global a la política de máxima presión de EE.UU.

🗣️ Reacción cubana:
👉 El canciller Bruno Rodríguez, presente en la sesión, afirmó: “Esta votación no es solo un triunfo diplomático; es un tributo a la resistencia de nuestro pueblo y una reivindicación de que el mundo no aceptará que se use el hambre y la oscuridad como armas de política exterior”.
