@BoardLotSultan In parallel as I upgrade herd to pedigree,I can sweeten the profit with selective pedigree heifer sales as Seedstock to other farmers.

@BoardLotSultan Focus on value not volume.Starting on this on a much compressed scale and targeting Jersey and Guernsey.Sourcing them is problem but am making great contacts.The play - high butter fat milk for value added less raw milk sales,more cheese,etc

@BoardLotSultan Depends.Backgrounders buy young steers from cow suckler operators. At these point they are called feeders.They will remain with them till they are ready to enter feedlot.They either finish them themselves or onsell to feeelotter.
