Pelley is the third top “60 Minutes” correspondent to charge that Bari Weiss demanded inserting “falsehoods and bias” into reporting.
And we know that’s true because her public memo on the CECOT story mischaracterized the Trump DOJ’s position.
This, by Weiss, is false.
@AnonymousLeftie Both Raman and Steyer are counting on late mail becoming more Democratic over time (though to be clear Raman is in a stronger position than Steyer right now).
It's not a give-in but I do think it's more likely the late mail gets better for Dems than worse.
#BREAKING: The New York Legislature has passed the redistricting amendment.
Lawmakers elected in November must approve it again next year. If it passes a second time, voters will decide the measure in late 2027.
@AaronBlake@DemFromCT Irony: much of the time is spent confirming the identities of mail-in voters to insure there's no fraud. Which it would seem a governor would support.
Love it, time for answers from @SenatorCollins, @SenJonHusted, @SenDanSullivan, and everybody else: should the spearhead of the Epstein cover-up, the architect of the insurrection slush fund, and defender of the ballroom be permanent Attorney General?
After tonight's votes remaining update in LA County, VoteHub has upped expected turnout in the LA mayor race to 858k. This would leave 333k votes remaining from LA city, meaning Raman would have to win them over Pratt by 11.2%.
Raman won today's drop by 10.4%.
Tillis (who has the ability to bottle up any nominee who doesn't get Dem votes in Judiciary) told me the DOJ anti-weaponization fund would "absolutely" be part of his consideration for if he supports an AG nominee

Not sure I will ever get used to how casually powerful people baselessly seed suspicion about our elections like this.
Call California ridiculously slow, by all means. But this goes well beyond that.
I'm pleased to invite @Wemby to our second Commission on Government Efficiency hearing on Wednesday June 10th 5-8pm, where we'll be asking the public for their thoughts on how government can run better. Would love to have you there for the whole time!
The GOP is in way more trouble in November than MAGA partisans want to admit. And I'd rather be in the position of bracing myself for a tsunami that doesn't quite hit than being taken by complete surprise.
Some news: I’m utterly delighted to announce I’m @haaretzcom’s new U.S. bureau chief. Much, much more to come but we are making a major push into America. Watch this space 👀
In the meantime: looking for a new Washington correspondent. Reach out if interested or have a rec!
This is another sign of how the old categories of liberal and conservative no longer map precisely on our modern parties. Here the Democrats are more conservative as we’ve long understood the term — they’re (rightly) the Russia hawks.
More of CNN's false equivalence language. Ukraine is not targeting St. Petersburg, but striking military installations, Russian warships, and oil refineries. It's the Russian terror state that strikes cities and targets civilians. https://t.co/Cy7DgqtkuT
