Water restrictions in 6 Irish counties until the end of August.
There are approximately 100 data centers in Dublin alone. I’ve no doubt they are being restricted first.

Wondering why your garden doesn’t have many butterflies? 🦋
As an insect ecologist, I often get questions from people wondering why they don’t see many butterflies in their garden despite them growing flowers that should attract them (buddleia, verbena, etc.)
The answer is often that they have not considered the resources that insects need at all stages of their life. Caterpillars need specific plants to eat, and these are often not the same species that provide nectar to the adults.
For butterfly populations to survive, they need food for all stages of life. If you don’t provide these other resources in your garden, you are effectively just outsourcing this responsibility to your neighbours.
Unfortunately, some of the most popular plants for butterfly caterpillars are some of the plants most hated by gardeners.
Peacock butterflies, Small Tortoiseshells, and Red Admirals all feed almost exclusively on nettles. Commas feed on nettles too but also on hops, elm, and willow. Beautiful moths such as the Small Magpie would also be very grateful to have nettles available to them. Try leaving a patch of nettles and see what appears!
Butterflies and moths also need somewhere safe to pupate or hibernate, and so ‘messier’ corners, leaf litter, wood piles, and bramble patches work well for this.

🚨 JAPAN TAXPAYER ALERT 🚨
The Japanese government is handing 160 BILLION yen (nearly $1 billion) of public funds directly to an Israeli chipmaker, Tower Semiconductor.
Why are 🇯🇵 taxpayers footing the bill for a foreign tech giant's expansion in Niigata and Toyama?
Is this actually "economic security," or is it just a massive corporate handout?
Can you imagine the terror and horror Israel inflicts on Palestinian children, women, and men in detention centers when the cameras are away?
This is Israeli terrorism.
