If you’re a middle class young kid with some time and looking to find a job or career jump off point, consider volunteering to coach youth sports. Maybe do it with a friend. These leagues need coaches. You will get to know all the parents well. They are mostly all thankful and will want to know your plans for your life.

There are a lot of business with needs that are NOT posted. This is one way to break through the “can I trust this person” firewall. At a minimum you will have a dozen referrals.
