dear SEAblings, please take indonesia’s government, especially its president, to the ICJ and international human rights courts over what’s happening here

the situation is getting worse and the impact is not only affecting indonesians, but also all of you and the countries around us. people are suffering, human rights are being violated, our environment is getting destroyed, and somehow the people in power still act like everything is fine. please don’t just stay silent

if international pressure is what it takes to make them finally take responsibility, then please help us bring this to the international community. we really need your help because our own government clearly doesn’t care enough to do something about this 🙏🏻

@insidefolkative In Indonesia, state-owned banks can freeze your account if you speak out against government injustice. The banks admit this is done under direct orders from the government itself.

🇮🇩 | Indonesian students are smashing through police barricades as a massive wave of defiance sweeps the country.

For a solid week, student-led coalitions have shut down streets nationwide, escalating their fury against the Prabowo government's devastating economic policies and deep-seated corruption scandals.

Frontline activists warn that the administration is driving the country straight into economic collapse.

Protesters are also resisting the expanding footprint of the military in civilian spaces, ringing alarm bells over a dangerous slide back into the brutal, Suharto-era dictatorship.
