For reasons I'm not entirely sure about I mostly tweet about translation issues in the Suikoden series.
Ask about a translation and I'll try to look it up.
Evening Dusk, the first spell of the Twilight rune, is not only a tautology but completely misses the ominous implication of 逢魔が刻.
It technically means "twilight" but carries a folkloric nuance, much like "the witching hour" in English.
It's the time when bad things happen.
1. That was 5 days ago, good morning sleepyhead.
2. 4th preview ain't good. Is she riding a metal horse? Why does it say "clank" when it turns around? ガカッ is a sudden abrupt movement, not specifically metal.
3. Why are you repeating "What is...?" for two different lines?
The chapter 4 of “Suikoden STAR LEAP: Trails of the Stars” is available on "Kadokomi"!

A question sometimes asked is "what happened to Kooluk after it collapsed?"
The answer is... largely unknown. The Kiwami Encyclopedia offhandedly mentions that the Scarlet Moon Empire absorbed "most" of it.
Most could be anything between 51-99%
Maybe STAR LEAP will elaborate.
If Pahn dies before you trigger the pirate event in the Saturn version of Suikoden, he still shows up for the meeting but faces the wrong way and doesn't say anything.
I guess it's a bit awkward for everyone...?
This month's chapter of Star Leap is the "mommy" issue as we meet Ramin and at the end we get a glimpse of a woman with a familiar khakkhara standing in front of a tree...
Apparently Ramin and Orhan are from the Riya Clan who live in Lacetra grasslands...? Think that's new.
Haruko Iida (@kamo2010kamo) wrote "Forget-Me-Not" for the Suikoden: Alliance manga anthology and has very kindly shared it & let me translate it.
Be sure to thank her & support the series.

According to KING the Prince’s design in V was inspired by a matoi-mochi, an Edo period fire brigade standard-bearer.
They'd arrive on the scene and raise their matoi high to signal their unit’s presence.
So that's where the tassels come from...?
Marie's niece is called Marié, and she also runs an inn.
Is it just me or are the references to past games getting a bit too on the nose? Same name(ish) and same job seems to be the theme.
Hou seemingly knowing every single person is making the world feel a bit small too.
I'd like to say "Hey, they finally fixed it in Chapter 3" but if I'm totally honest it's probably a fluke and no one actually checked.
If they do release the complete set one day, I hope they fix these inconsistencies first.
During Anime Japan 2026 last weekend, the cast of Suikoden: The Anime played a legally distinct version of pictionary and I think this image just about sums up how well that went.
Can you guess which Suikoden-related word is being depicted?
