UACE: 7th Nov - 5th Dec
Success to all candidates! As you enter the final stretch towards your UCE, PLE and UACE examinations, the Ministry encourages you to stay focused, disciplined, and confident.
As part of the preparations and procedures for the conduct of the 2026 national examinations, the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has released the timetables for the three national examination sets: the Primary Leaving Examination (#PLE), Uganda Certificate of Education (#UCE), and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (#UACE).
The 2026 examination cycle will commence on Thursday, 8 October 2026, with the briefing of UCE candidates.
The Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) will commence on Friday, 30 October 2026, with the briefing of candidates, while the UACE examination will begin with candidate briefing on Friday, 6 November 2026.
The 2026 UCE candidates constitute the third cohort of learners to be assessed under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) at the lower secondary level.
The 2026 UACE candidates were among the pioneer cohorts to undertake the CBC at the lower secondary level. They will, therefore, be assessed under a curriculum that has been aligned with the Competency-Based Curriculum and its corresponding assessment modalities.

Every learner returns to school with a different story from the holiday.
As the term begins, a welcoming classroom can make a meaningful difference. Take time to notice your learners, listen, encourage them and establish clear expectations for the weeks ahead.
And as we mark Corporate Wednesday, let us wear our UNATU corporate colours with pride as we continue serving learners and strengthening our profession.
A positive start can help shape a stronger term.
