Helen, I love your posts! These post-45 stories of our attempts to seek justice for war crimes against UK forces fascinate me, have you considered a book summarising them? There seem to be several accts of British military govt since 45, but not seen any that focus on this subject

@robert_lyman As a precocious 17 yr old I wrote to him at the Telegraph (he was at my school @Wimb_Coll ) on how to best study military history, he wrote me back a 2 page hand written letter, something I cherish to this day!

Am I the only one looking at social media, the World Cup, and the 1982 Falklands Conflict, and thinking that the world has lost its mind. Over 900 men never returned home to their families, 255 of them British.

@TheUCS473 Two comments, none of those disadvantages stops a youngster turning out to be a model soldier and secondly, remember the Army is the greatest achiever of social mobility in society, if it can work its magic on the most disadvantaged, it’s doing a great job

Tonight 13/14 June, it will be exactly 44 years since the 2nd Battalion Scots Guards fought bravely through the night to take Tumbledown mountain in the final battle of the Falklands war.
