Ebola is spreading. Six Americans already exposed. He has not briefed himself with CDC scientists. His response to a reporter asking if he was worried: "Yeah, we're working on it."

The CDC is being run by a health economist with no public health experience who already has another full-time job running NIH. Half of the 27 NIH institutes have no permanent director. The top FDA drug regulator got fired in May - Kennedy found out after it happened.
When measles killed two children in Texas, the CDC official leading the response asked repeatedly to brief Kennedy. He was rebuffed every time.

The person actually running HHS operations is a longtime personal adviser whose policy spreadsheet - more than 50 items - is hidden from the department's own policy team. When Kennedy gets asked a question, his standing answer is "just run that by Stefanie."

This is not a management philosophy. This is a vacancy wearing a title.

I'm so freaking sick of hearing people obsess over the LA mayoral election being rigged. There's ZERO credible evidence of that.

The results make total sense. LA is deep blue. People are fed up with Mayor Bass, so Democrats largely consolidated behind another Democrat (Nithya Raman) instead.

Pratt ran a solid outsider campaign, but he was always a long shot here. The early leads flipped with the remaining ballots because Republicans tend to vote earlier or on Election Day, while Democrats are more likely to mail theirs at the last minute. California almost ALWAYS sees this pattern. It's called a "blue shift". Look it up.

Most of the loudest voices complaining don't even live in California. He lost. Move on. You sound like idiots & sore losers who claim everything that doesn't go your way is rigged. Embarrassing

I’ve been thinking a lot about the extraordinary outbursts of the President of the United States against female journalists... well, actually against journalists in general and journalism. But it feels like he saves his most childlike behavior and irrational language for female reporters, calling them all kinds of names that kids in kindergarten are given times out for. It’s stunning to me to witness such behavior from any leader, any CEO, any person of influence or importance. I’ve never witnessed someone like this raging, this weekend with @meetthepress host @kwelkernbc, just last week in the Oval Office with @cnn’s @kaitlancollins, calling women stupid or piggy, telling them to “smile”, calling them darling, demeaning their credibility. Every good man should denounce this behavior. Every person should be able to stand up for their colleagues and say “No more.”

Imagine this man screaming like this at your daughter, your wife, your sister, your mother... would you stand for it? No, you wouldn’t! And neither should any of us. It’s unacceptable and undignified. Period. End of story.
