@StarWarsCCG@RJLcomedy Whats that first sentence mean? Totally fair you didn’t watch them man just trying to let people know It’s really barely any sequel content.
@StarWarsCCG@RJLcomedy Oops that is totally my bad, there’s also Craig. But every other one is original or from Lucas era Star Wars. So really kind of forced to say It’s all Disney era planets with Disney era aliens.
My favorite is Midnight X-Men by Hickman and Della Fonte. 4/5 stars.
This is the least horror of the three books yet it sets up the side of the universe I’m the most interested in with many different factions and a clear history. The art is also my preferred style. Hickman cooks
So first up: Midnight Fantastic Four by Percy and Walker.
I’d give this issue a 3/5. I found it interesting but was definitely my least favorite of the bunch. It played with cosmic horror which holds true to the FF but it didn’t go far enough in the first issue into the team.
My second favorite was Midnight spider-man by PKJ and Scietronc.
I give this a 3.5 out of 5 and it was the most conceptually interesting of the three. The body horror is gruesome. It leans into the imprint the best of the three so it could be first but body horror isn’t for me
I’ve finally gotten around to reading every issue in the initial launch of Marvel Midnight. Overall it surprised me with how much I enjoyed the issues or at least found them to be intriguing even if they weren’t necessarily my type of comic. I’ll go more in depth below.
@cyclopsiryn Any book that lets Cyclops aura farm as much as that one does is alright in my book. Didn’t really care about age of revelation but other than that I’ve enjoyed most arcs.
While these aren’t the most aesthetically pleasing compendiums, if they’re fairly priced this is finally a step in the right direction for Marvel. They’ve been needing affordable compendiums just like this for a long long time.
Marvel announced the Marvel Brick line!
This is the Marvel Compendium format, and they’re starting with 4 books:
• Uncanny X-Men: All New, All Different
• Superior Spider-Man: Hero or Menace?
• Uncanny X-Force: The Apocalypse Solution
• The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl
@Fantastic4HypeG I haven’t read any Mister Miracle besides this run but it’s undeniably fantastic and I will be crushed if the animated series doesn’t hold true to the story it tells.
Not enough people talk about how good Omega Men was. I had never read any of the characters in it before but I didn’t need to have. King masterfully wove in deeper themes of the effects of religious devotion and oppression. Bagenda’s art is also spectacular and perfects the work.
@ClassicXMen I went from reading every Krakoa era book to only reading adjectiveless X-Men, so my interest in the line dropped severely. However, I’ve loved practically every issue of the current series and It’s been doing a fantastic job of having issues that focus on each member of the team
@Sorazure15 If this means less relaunches and more runway for longer runs, I’m all in. Back in the Day even an obscure book like Alpha Flight had the opportunity to run for 131 issues. Bring back keeping original numbering even during creative team swaps.
I think this probably surprises no one, but it’s a real shame to hear. The first year of Ultimatd Spider-Man through the end of the Kraven arc was one of the most exciting series Marvel has published in so long. After that the race to the finish just took away all momentum.
🕷️ The Ultimate Universe wasn’t supposed to end.
Hickman reveals Marvel changed course around issues #12–13, forcing creators to wrap up the line.
“I’ve never seen Marvel kill a line that is the most profitable line that they have at the time.”

I think he’s pretty noble in his reasoning, but this would be a great reason to bring Marvel What If…? back. DC thrives with their elseworlds stories and if Marvel just gave Hickman a runway to finish his story out of continuity I think people would eat it up.
❌ Jonathan Hickman says he’ll never tell his original ending to the Krakoa era.
“It sucks that I didn’t get to finish what I set out to do, and the main reason why is because it was so fucking good.” #XMen#Krakoa
