So I'll be covering #PokemonGO again, but articles have a specific reminder at the bottom of all their posts to remind readers of Niantic's problematic history, not just for the game, but all around. Actions have consequences, esp after months/years of ignoring your players.
🍄 Fascia fungo per capelli!
Direttamente da EarthBound, Hobonichi annuncia la fascia fungo, che dona un effetto "mushroomized" a chi la indossa. Pesce d'aprile o no, sarà in vendita dal 30 aprile!

@MxKestrel The content of your personhood should matter most, and it's disappointing we're still not there. Keep up the good fight y'all, there is support for you, even if the loudest people we hear these days are the dumbest dinosaurs extinction has yet to claim. 👍
@PokemonGoApp Wait, Sustainability Week doesn't even include Earth Day on April 22? Man have you guys fallen from you original glory. Y'all got me to clean more before. My dog even knows "Gunk Shot" so she can help me clean too. So disappointed with this company.
@LisaPoisso Like kiss of the spider woman, right? Can't think of anything else that relies on it's dialogue that much, but even it has a few descriptive paragraphs.
@PokemonGoApp After LA Kalos's last minute game/event updates decimated my communities (PLURAL), this is a HARD pass. If we don't see good CONSUMER centered changes for Go Fest, I'll probably be out. Already closed my wallet during the global tour, so these aren't just words 🤑
I know Niantic makes #PokemonGO, but they took The Silph Road site, TSR's community organization structures for the ambassador plan, & then dumped'em like a year later. Isn't that why the site got shut down? Why work with'em on #GOMemories after that bs? https://t.co/QAVRhJJUAW
@JreSeawolf I do think in some cases it is deceitful. I remember Kestrel said one thing, the company did the opposite, then Kestrel took a "vacation" on the spot & didn't interview after that. They seemed to know they were betrayed and refused to play ball again, unlike other Niantic "leads"
@JreSeawolf@ItsAXN 100%. My outlet has rejected Niantic interview "opportunities" because we never felt they were in good faith, and when we tried playing ball behind the scenes (only ethical stuff like "corrections" my editor was comfy with), we still never even got news updates. Not trustworthy.
@PokemonGoApp Not doing the local events, may not buy a ticket either, assuming I keep playing. Go Tour was that bad and dangling full event details like this AND not outlining changes made to the Super Megas reinforces the idea that y'all learned NOTHING. Not paying to test your game again🗑
Our #PokemonGOTour2026 coverage is over. While I'm sure the company made money and some fans are pleased, I saw further damage done to MULTIPLE communities I'm in. FOMO is killing them while high cognitive load for an exercise game exacerbates it.👎

If we see positive trends continue in March, yeah, sure, we'll resume things in April, but right now, I feel like I have to do something a little bigger than not sending out raid invites (which I generally do daily). The company needs to do better but keeps pulling dumb stunts.
I've already updated my #PokemonGO#PokemonGOTour2026 piece to reflect the Road to Kalos global event, but the last-minute announcements AGAIN massacred attendence w/ SEVERAL local communities in the LA area. While I like some of the March changes, I'll skip coverage this month.
@PokemonGoApp I actually think this sounds fun, but Kalos Tour and the start-of-Taiwan's-tour Super Mega Raids announcement killed a LOT of trust (and LA based communities) at least for the weekend. Trust that needs to be re-earned. Which is sadly common for Niantic 😮💨
