Today, we bade a final farewell to David Alexander Charles Birungi Barlow. Birungi was born on the 3rd of July 1970 to the late David Alexander William Nsubuga Barlow and my mother's younger sister, Margaret Maria Nabitosi Barlow. He was my very special cousin and namesake.

I have read most of the responses but I feel there are missing and guiding ideas that would help support the proposal. I will use only one example. I was privileged to visit Brazil ( Brasília City) in its planning/ formative stage, as they were moving City from the crowded São Paulo. Colleagues their decision was perfect. The inhabitants were few and the whole area was planned, roads and other amenities were installed by Govt. All Government infrastructure structures was set in place with all govt buildings looking the same and organized. The diplomatic areas well demarcated for them to build themselves, malls, residential, and all other services like schools were well planned. There was resistance from some govt and Brazilian citizens especially those who were already with advantages in São Paulo. But the president with the leadership did not give way, plans to move were given timelines, govt started on its own needed infrastructure, dates to shift were fixed, land was given to developers certainly not donated. The plan looked ambitious and indeed it was. The presidential Or state house was among the ones that was completed first and HE moved among the first ones ( I visited it as a tourist). Resistance and movement is now history there. I have since visited & it is indeed a Capital city!
Nakasongola has several advantages for Uganda and it would only be fair to plan, execute this for a better Uganda. Kampala would be A business city and Nakasongola a Capital and Administrative city. It is well and strategically placed in Uganda and has all one would need. Remember Nakasongola is not the hottest part of Uganda 🇺🇬
