If you drive around Nairobi, you definitely have noticed an increase in recklessness and matatu mindset on the roads. Cops rarely bother you for overlapping. Drivers are impatient, and the matatu mentality is all over the place. The regime's disregard for the law is trickling.

Is it just me, or are we recording far too many serious road accidents lately?

Almost every day, there are reports from different parts of the country, sometimes four or five major crashes in a single day. It is becoming worrying.

What is really happening on our roads? Speeding? Fatigue? Careless overtaking? Poor road conditions? Drunk driving? Or have we simply become too comfortable taking risks?

Something needs to change before these numbers become our new normal. What do you think is causing the rise?

Part of the solutions devs offer is writing well structured code. The reason why ai is taking over software development is it is the most documented industry out there. Documentation is offered for free and it encouraged. In a few years ai will not be able to write code.

As a software engineer.. you don’t exist to “WRITE CODE,” you exist to “SOLVE PROBLEMS”
You should actually be excited about Ai because imagine how fast you can solve problems.. with Ai as your force multiplier.
Ai will just eliminate inefficient problem solvers.

Exactly three years ago, a hacker took control of Kabarak University’s official Facebook page and demanded $1,800 USD, or he would post adult pictures. 😅
Mind you, Kabarak University offers:
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Security and Forensics
• Master of Science in IT Security and Audit
• Even a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in IT Security and Audit
…plus a full range of computer science, IT, and AI courses. Yet they couldn’t protect their own Facebook page!

It’s the same story at the University of Nairobi (UoN). The university offers programmes in structural engineering, construction management, architecture, quantity surveying, real estate, and more.
Yet when it came to building their iconic 21-storey UoN Towers, they awarded the contract to China Wu Yi Co. Ltd…
