its tragic that liam couldnt stay sober. its tragic that the hurt he couldnt cope with hurt other people. its tragic that he’ll never see what life looked like on the other side of addiction. its so tragic that his victims are robbed of his accountability. it all sucks
all I can imagine is 13 year old me coming home from being bullied all day to my bedroom filled with one direction posters and sitting on my bed to watch their interviews, music videos, funny moments
just fyi if something happened to your abuser after you told your story - it’s not your fault. no matter what happens after you speak up, you’re allowed to tell your story and share what you went through. always.
during a time where i was so lonely and insecure and unsure about myself one direction was my source of light and happiness and maybe that sounds corny but i will forever be grateful for that beautiful time because you just can’t recreate magic like that

People aren’t mourning who Liam Payne became- they’re mourning the boy who was part of their youth, the music that defined a generation, and the memories tied to someone who once meant everything to so many (and that doesn’t take away that he was horrible in the end)
people are not mourning the man liam payne became, they are mourning the man he used to be and the man they grew up with. the man that was part of something that shaped millions of peoples lives.
