Poland is without doubt, the best place I have been for Woodpeckers with 9 species seen and Three-toed was the last one I needed for the WP.
Below; Black, Three-toed, White-backed & Middle-spotted.
Top day out in Norfolk y'day, BW Kite at lomg last. Record shot is an understatement but amazing scope views. Swallowtails at Strumpshaw + dragons & Butterflies everywhere you looked. Rounded the day off at Cley Marshes, a place that never disappoints.
Black-throated Thrush at Mayshiel in the Lammermuirs this afternoon, feeding continuously on worms in the field east of the main track by the lambing shed @birdinglothian
@McGuigle@birdinglothian Appears to be a 2cy male, Chris. I do have some more 'distant' shots side on but not the greatest quality due to distance. The only rufous tones I noted were on the underwing coverts when it flew up into the tree belt, nothing else.
@cranky1456@AlanDaviesbirds Hi Alan, I don't mind you using my image here but can you at least credit me for it, rather than passing it off as your own.
Many thanks.
