An Australian volunteer known as 'Mozzie' has been confirmed killed in Ukraine.

Mozzie served first with the Royal Australian Regiment. He later volunteered for the International Legion for the Defense of Ukraine, working as an infantryman and combat medic with Med Team Alpha under the GUR, Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence. In an interview with the International Legion in June, he put his reason simply: he was tired of training and wanted to use the skills he had actually been taught for.

This is an excerpt from a tribute his closest brother in arms wrote after he was gone: “Mozzie was the bravest soldier I have ever known, and he was my brother. As a combat medic he pulled countless people back from the edge, and he also took out multiple enemies. I was there for most of what he did in this war. After everything we had already been through, very few still wanted to keep fighting. Mozzie did.

One example: after the enemy opened fire first and killed his team leader and his best friend, Mozzie dropped four of them. What followed was two against six. He still won. Then he kept his team leader alive as long as he could until a vehicle got there to take him out."

Comment from me: these words are fair and true. Ukraine is thankful for them.

However, Putin doesn't understand words, he understands actions.
So India's refusal to purchase Russian oil would be more persuasive.

If India stops financing Russia's budget through buying Russia's crude and then helping Russia with gasoline, Gandhi's teachings will come true quicker.

Під час наради керівників закордонних дипломатичних установ України за участі Президента України Володимира Зеленського окреслив ключові завдання парламентської дипломатії.

Серед безумовних пріоритетів — посилення Сил оборони сучасною зброєю, системами протиповітряної оборони та ракетами-перехоплювачами, зміцнення енергетичної безпеки й залучення подальшої фінансової підтримки України, зокрема через використання доходів від заморожених російських активів.

Парламенти держав-партнерів здатні істотно впливати на рішення щодо допомоги Україні. За роки повномасштабної війни ми сформували потужне міжнародне парламентське партнерство, засноване на довірі, солідарності та спільній відповідальності за майбутнє Європи.

Наше завдання — посилювати санкційний тиск на агресора, домагатися справедливого покарання за злочин агресії та запуску повноцінного міжнародного компенсаційного механізму. росія має нести відповідальність, а санкції повинні бути не черговими за номером, а справді болючими й дієвими.

Важливо продовжувати роботу над наближенням України до членства в Європейському Союзі, поглиблювати взаємодію з парламентами сусідніх держав, Європейським парламентом, країнами G7, нордично-балтійськими партнерами та іншими міжпарламентськими форматами.

Серед подальших завдань — посилення роботи з парламентами країн ЄС, розвиток міжпарламентських контактів високого рівня, відк��иття представництва Верховної Ради України при Європейському парламенті, подальше просування Кримської платформи, а також активізація діалогу з парламентами держав Азії та інших регіонів світу.

Також вручив Почесні відзнаки «Нагрудний знак Верховної Ради України «��а служіння Українському народові» імені Левка Лук’яненка» та Подяки Голови Верховної Ради України дипломатам і представникам державних інституцій за самовіддане служіння Українському народові, високий професіоналізм і внесок у зміцнення української державності, дипломатичної служби та міжпарламентських зв’язків.

Під час спілкування з керівниками дипломатичних установ України також обговорили подальшу координацію між Міністерством закордонних справ і Верховною Радою України на міжнародному напрямі. Урядова й парламентська дипломатія мают�� діяти як єдина команда, узгоджувати пріоритети та спільно працювати заради конкретних результатів для України.

Ukraine continues to do everything in its power to ensure that this war has the prospect of a diplomatic resolution. One of the key claims made by Ukraine’s opponents and by those who trust dubious sources is that we in Ukraine supposedly want the war to continue.

Your task is to consistently, persuasively, and credibly reject this accusation. It is Ukraine that wants peace. Ukraine has never wanted this war – not for a single day. It is Russia that is doing everything possible to prolong the war and inflict as much damage on human life as it can. We are working toward diplomacy. All leaders who can help know that we are ready for every substantive format. Putin is not ready. And that is precisely the problem.

And for there to be a diplomatic path, there must be no obstacles to it in any influential capital in the world. When Moscow does not want peace, Washington and Beijing can make it want peace. And we are doing everything possible to ensure that the capitals of Europe, which Russia does not particularly want to take into account, reach a level where Russia can no longer ignore Europe. This is one of the key objectives of our security and political cooperation with our European partners.

Взяла участь у щорічній нараді українських послів, щоб підбити проміжні підсумки нашої співпраці. Згадала, як важкої зими за сприяння дипломатів @Zelenska_FND змогла передати генератори до медичних, освітніх і соціальних закладів та зігріти десятки тисяч дітей. Також разом ми масштабуємо проєкти «Безпечна школа» й «Адреса дитинства», що дають змогу навчатися, почуватися в безпеці й зберігати звичне дитинство навіть під час війни. Подякувала послам за докладені зусилля й за те, що голос України дедалі гучніше звучить у світі. Вже 101 університет у 27 країнах долучився до Коаліції українських студій, а кількість українських аудіогідів у провідних пам’ятках світу зросла до 125. За кожним із цих результатів – кропітка праця дипломатичних команд. Another day. Another attack on Ukrainians in Poland.

This time, three Ukrainian citizens were attacked in Kożuchów, Poland. All three were badly injured.

And please spare me the claim that these are just isolated incidents.

They are not.

In the first six months of 2026 alone, Polish police received 180 reports of hate crimes targeting Ukrainians - already 30% more than during the same period last year. And that number does not even include everything that has happened in June and July.

We have watched one case after another. A 60-year-old Polish man was beaten in Poznań after defending a Ukrainian boy who was being verbally abused. Two 13-year-old Ukrainian children were attacked in Legnica. Two 11-year-old Ukrainian girls were subjected to xenophobic abuse on a bus in Bielsko-Biała. A Ukrainian couple was beaten in Wrocław. In another documented case, two Ukrainian women were attacked in Poznań specifically because of their nationality.

And now three more Ukrainians have been injured in Kożuchów.

At what point do we stop pretending there isn’t a serious problem with anti-Ukrainian xenophobia in Poland?

You can disagree with the Ukrainian government. You can debate history. You can argue about migration policy. You can criticize Ukrainians. None of that gives anyone permission to humiliate Ukrainian children on buses, attack women, or beat people because they happen to speak Ukrainian.

And words have consequences. When Ukrainians are relentlessly portrayed as parasites, criminals, historical enemies, or people who should be “sent home,” eventually someone decides that attacking them is acceptable.

Even Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has now publicly called for an end to xenophobic attacks against Ukrainians, saying those committing such acts are acting against Poland’s own interests.

Poland showed extraordinary humanity toward Ukrainians after February 2022. That makes what is happening now even more painful to watch.

This hatred needs to be confronted - not denied, minimized, excused, or blamed on some imaginary russian hiding behind every Polish xenophobe.

Weapons for Ukraine – now. The quality of an embassy’s work must be measured by the amount of weapons Ukraine receives, the funding that supports Ukraine, and the political decisions and concrete steps that put pressure on Russia. That is the clear framework.

A Ukrainian ambassador must know how many air defense missiles are available in the country where they serve – and how to ensure that those missiles are not sitting in stockpiles somewhere, but loaded into our launchers here in Ukraine. Missiles for Patriots, NASAMS, IRIS-Ts, SAMP/Ts, and Hawks; weapons for our combat aircraft; everything our drones need – this is your daily work and ours.

Every ambassador must bring weapons to Ukraine. Some of you may be more public, while others may be less so. It depends on the country where you serve and the specific task. Some may work through official channels, while in other places only informal channels are effective. In some cases, support from civil society and the media is indispensable; elsewhere, unnecessary public moves only get in the way. But you must bring in weapons and assist everyone who does.

The KPIs for our embassies and ambassadors must be restructured accordingly. Weapons are needed. Missiles are needed. Funding for Ukraine is needed.

We are grateful to President of Ukraine @ZelenskyyUa for his leadership and pivotal role in securing the most crucial decisions.

We are preparing for the new political season. Rallying international support to bolster resilience and make it through the winter, strengthening air defense, and escalating pressure on the aggressor.

Every ambassador and permanent representative must serve as a strong voice for Ukraine across all capitals and headquarters.

Diplomacy must be grounded and concrete. That is precisely why we kicked off the agenda for this meeting in the Chernihiv region.

As long as the war continues, no diplomatic effort can ever be considered enough. That is why we work toward the main objective: restoring peace and reinforcing Ukraine’s leadership.
