i just love filipino films set around quiapo or recto ๐ญ thereโs just something about the streets, the chaos, the people, the grit, the noise, the little pockets of lifeโฆ it feels so distinctly filipino.
apol of my ai, gusto kita with all my hypothalamus, sunshine โ you get me
ill never forget those people as long as i keep hearing news abt them exploiting d crew, taking advantage of students/creatives, power tripping/gaslighting them & blacklisting a student. seeing them target kids whos building a career brick by brick. istg luluhod din ang mga tala
also no one asked for this but please watch Forgotten Island
this movie literally deserves all the love and effort put into filipino culture/folklore and don't even get me started about the animation/art
Not to deny sympathy towards filmmakers pero, I do think you understand how neck deep we are into imperialist crisis, & yet pin into the"filipino audiences"how much they presumably do not understand. but unlike filmmakers, the audiences have it bad and it is not even their choice
What if Dr. Jose Rizal also went to Nakali Island and need niya isacrifice one of his memories ng kanyang iniirog para makabalik sa Pilipinas. Sa sobra dami di mo alam kung si Blumentritt, Leonor or si O Sei San eh #forgottenisland
