I powiedziałeś to swoje Karolyna, którym przedzerzniałeś sam wiesz, kogo. Nie usłyszę już tego nigdy. Nie zobaczę uśmiechu i karcącego wzroku, gdy mówiłam: no ne zdążyłam odpocząć. Nie będziesz się śmiał ze mnie w Czarnomorce, jak jem ostrygi. Nie pójdziemy na następny spacer po Sałtiwce. Gdy odbierałam Twoje rzeczy, znalazłam naszego pomarańczowego słonia. Miłosz Ci go przywiózł, by był u Ciebie szybciej niż ja. Krzyżyk przy nieśmiertelniku też jest, choć oboje mamy... mieliśmy takie sobie podejście do religii. Nie umiem pisać o Tobie w czasie przeszłym. Przecież w Awdijiwce zawsze wracałeś z pozycji, bo mi obiecałeś. Tak się cieszyliśmy na to spotkanie w Charkowie. Mam teraz poczucie, że gdyby Ci nie dali przepustki, na co długo czekałeś, to dziś byś żył i spędzaliśmy godziny na telefonie, jak od miesięcy. Pamiętam, jak w końcu napisałeś do mnie w maju chyba, bo przecież jak tu się odezwać do "pani redaktor". Na szczęście szybko Ci przeszło. A potem to już sam wiesz, jak było. Odszedłeś 11 miesięcy po naszym Janku. Razem z Tobą odeszła część mnie, duża. I tylko kilka osób wie, dlaczego. Ale to zostawimy już sobie. Jak Scarlett i Rhetta.
Odliczałam czas do Twoich 50. urodzin, bo przecież to już w styczniu. Ale na wojnie nie można planować niczego, prawda?
Choć nie ma Cię tu, to zawsze będziesz z nami. Tacy jak Ty nie odchodzą tak po prostu.
Dziękuję lekarzom z wojskowego szpitala w Charkowie za to, że robili wszystko, by Cię uratować.
Dajcie nam teraz chwilę na informacje, co dalej. Bardzo Was proszę. Nie jestem w stanie odpowiadać na żadne pytania.
