On June 6, 2023, russia destroyed the Kakhovka Dam, committing an ecocide.
3 years on, millions of people are still living with the consequences, hundreds of species have been lost forever, and the region will take decades to recover🧵

More than 80 percent of the alumina produced in Ireland was shipped to Russia this year. Russia needs it for weapons systems used to kill Ukrainian children and families, as well as for weapons systems it is also directing against Europe. Perhaps Ireland should reconsider its lobbying efforts and propose adding aluminum to the EU’s next package of sanctions. Just as, incidentally, Russian uranium and fuel rods should have been sanctioned long ago, and Germany must enforce the sanctions so that no more German semiconductors or circuit boards end up in Russian drones. Close the loopholes and implement the sanctions without exception.

I’ve been wondering why local news here in Limerick hasn’t been reporting the truth about the russian refinery and just noticed the biggest paper here took 5M € government funding from a minister who has defended the plant. Absolutely disgraceful. You cannot call yourself a journalist if you take government money. Explains a lot
Lots of pro russian Irish people telling me to ‘go to the front lines & leave Ireland’
I’ve just come here from Nikopol. The press armour is still in my bag. I watched Russian drones hunt civilians with my own eyes. That’s why the indifference here is so despicable, especially while Ireland still supplies alumina to Russias war machine.
I’m not going anywhere. This investigation continues
June 4 is the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression. It honours kids affected by war and violence. Since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began, at least 707 Ukrainian children have been killed. Behind every number is a child whose future has been stolen. Russia must be held accountable for these crimes.
@United24media
I think I need another boost, guys. I can see that X is actively unfollowing people from my account right now. We’ll figure something out, but I could really use your help today🙏

Almost two hours of a Cabinet meeting with President Donald Trump, and not one journalist asked about the urgent letter from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the administration and Congress regarding the critical shortage of air defense systems and missiles, amid intensified ballistic strikes on civilian targets by Russians in recent days. Attacks that are expected to intensify even further.

Ihor fled to Kyiv from occupied Oleshky in the Kherson region.
Then russia attacked his new home. He escaped the blaze with nothing but the clothes on his back and his phone.
Now he has to start over. Again.

The russian army struck directly in front of an underground pedestrian crossing. At that moment, Kyiv residents were inside using it as a shelter.
