Long time Dylan fan here - give @RealChalamet the Oscar already - seriously — and with best wishes to all nominees of course — but absolutely stunning, moving work by Timothee. Didn’t think it could be done. Thank you, James, Elle, Monica, Edward...And to @BobDylan: words fail!
I like the summary in Jeff Elbel’s headline. More accurate than most and honors rightly the artistry: “… simply walked onstage and began playing songs, introducing new ones and subverting his classics.” https://t.co/mAL8WCK9AM
November 4 1961 - Bob Dylan makes his debut at the Carnegie Chapter Hall in New York City. Most of the fifty people in attendance are his friends who paid two bucks to get in. Dylan was paid twenty dollars for the night.
From the beginning to the end, Bob Dylan's first gig in nearly two years was a show for the Dylan faithful. The centerpiece of the show was Rough and Rowdy Ways, but Dylan occasionally dipped into his back catalog. Our review: https://t.co/SkadELkquh

@BrianTracy As @BobDylan sings in "It’s Alright, Ma (I’m Only Bleeding) [1965]: "From the fool’s gold mouthpiece the hollow horn / Plays wasted words, proves to warn / That he not busy being born is busy dying" -- the quotation above may be in homage by @StephenKing
@Bob41Dylan For any other artist it would be the work of a lifetime - and with his output of masterpieces it certainly falls within the top 20-25% IMHO!
