Today I'm announcing Botsman, https://t.co/aEW7v66PUP: my bot development platform for Telegram. It's a project I've been working on for a long time. Check it out!
For now it's in beta, but you already can login and receive a notification when it will become publicly available.
Decided to design a simple, yet (at least moderately) effective captcha.
Came up with an idea of using emojis instead of characters. Here's a demo: https://t.co/wh51FEYWQz
What do you think?
This is a port of Redis implementation, here’s an article describing the algorithm in more detail: https://t.co/WlocRfARDZ
I’ve added one little tweak from myself: for small sets (up to 1000) it can store the exact list of elements, which reduces the error in this range to 0.
Published yet another Nim library!
This one is a HyperLogLog data structure implementation. It allows to estimate the number of unique elements in arbitrarily large sets, using just 12kb of memory. No dependencies, just a single Nim file :)
https://t.co/Db1hJt6TdX #nimlang
I decided not to stop there and ported yet another library called Pigo to Nim.
It uses something called cascade binary classifiers to detect faces and facial landmarks on photos. I still don’t fully understand how that magic works, but here it is https://t.co/6E5SHrJM7Y #nimlang
Nim is a great language, however its community is still relatively small, so it lacks libraries for many tasks.
For example, I wanted to use perceptual hashes to find duplicate images, and couldn’t find a good package for that.
So I made my own: https://t.co/Jkoxnn3l1O #nimlang
It uses ideas from https://t.co/eO165WkC5T and from this post: https://t.co/zN64Vdkvzo (and also a basic histogram hash for a good measure)
For even better matching it would be nice to also implement SIFT/SURF. It would work much slower though.

But not for @denullru 😁🙏

@grishka11@amima Исключительно эгоистических
Тебе, Гриша, вообще похер, какие там проблемы у других, как они свои риски оценивают, какие чувства испытывают
Всё только лично для тебя и только по твоим меркам, главное что Гришеньку уехавшие заставляют чувствовать себя виноватым
@elonmusk@spideycyp_155@StonksReddit@Podolyak_M Why there’s a need for a referendum at all? Just because of Russia’s fake one? Does that mean that every country can come wherever it wants, claim that territory, and force UN to do a referendum about that? Do we really want to normalize that?
Previously I’ve generated a picture of “java developer”, as seen by Stable Diffusion network.
Now I did the same with DALL-E, and its equally hilarious:

@SketchpunkLabs It's actually the same algorithm :)
Once you've reached some predefined area you do the same on the smaller scale — and now you have buildings instead of regions. After that you can just delete inner polygons (which are not touching any sides of the region), and that's it.
@SketchpunkLabs Well, personally I based it just on this tweet https://t.co/2KkNxnbuac and this Patreon post: https://t.co/CKiiyrQSLC. The base idea is not too complicated, it's just splitting polygons in halves over and over again.
