At the end of each school year, our school leadership meets for an off-site retreat. This year, school leaders reviewed and refined DA's strategic plan, discussed priorities for the coming year, and explored ways to continue strengthening the DA student experience.

In May, DA held the annual Middle School Knowledge Bowl, where seventh graders divided into teams to compete in categories such as reading, writing, social studies, math, and DA trivia. As per usual, Head of School Mark Twarogowski was the master of ceremonies!

Last Saturday, DA was proud to partner with Guiding Bright Minds to host the 2026 Guiding Bright Minds Neurodiversity Resource Fair. This free, family-friendly event at DA connected neurodivergent people with trusted providers, resources, and inclusive community organizations.
To celebrate the last week of school, the DA Elementary team and the DA Parent Association (DAPA) held a fun-filled carnival day. Friends, snacks, games, and a bit of silliness made for a great end to the school year.

During the school year, the DA Counseling Team partners with the 6th grade to offer bi-weekly optional "girls' lunch" sessions on topics important to them. The group celebrated their last session with a surprise trip to Dairy Queen!

Juniors recently participated in the annual Great Debate, arguing for who they believed to be most influential. Congrats to the final 4: Will P., Melody A., Julia S., and Jake P. The final winner was Melody, whose influential person was Homer, the ancient Greek poet.
