Doctors received offers for Radiology training posts at around 3-4pm. They were able to accept these offers on Oriel and received confirmation of acceptance. Offers then began to disappear on Oriel. At 6:30pm they received this email.

Simply unacceptable.

Yesterday the Leng review came to Derriford (Plymouth) to hear all sides of the issue surrounding PAs in the NHS. Derriford is well known for employing a high number of PAs and so it makes sense for them to visit. The review is meant to be unbiased and fair.

This is from the @uhbtrust Chief Medical Officer bulletin sent out today 👇🏻

There is no withdrawal of the imposed extra-contractual work rates

This will lead to an escalation as @TheBMA cannot accept any employer breaking national agreements

If @uhbtrust thinks this will blow over, they’ve completely misjudged the situation and doctors right now.

I can see this one escalating as far as necessary, including dispute, statutory ballot and industrial action.

And rightly so given its absurdity for patients and doctors.

On Tuesday @TheBMA LNC wrote to @uhbtrust Chief Medical Officer setting out that this imposition contravenes national agreements & must be withdrawn

We have not received any response from the Trust

Consequently today we have escalated this matter to the Trust CEO

Today @TheBMA LNC at @uhbtrust wrote to the Trust citing that this intended imposition of rates agreed amongst local employers contravenes agreements that ended national pay disputes, that this must now be withdrawn and that we expect confirmation of this by reply.

If yes then completely agree it's rubbish, I never take anything from those sessions without following it up myself first and postgraduates have a harder time as they're all mixed with us UGs.

@padraic90 @EmergMedDr @TM5006941 @swasFT @HARTSWASFT Reg 234 allows supply to police under a PGD but again only by persons listed under Sch. 16 P. 4 who as you said are registered HCPs.

As I understand it's still a POM and thus restricted by Reg 214. to be only administered by prescribers and those in Sch. 17 P 4. Under PGD.

St John is unique in that it comes under Sch. 17 P. 5, but I must be missing something here, would love for someone to explain!

@EmergMedDr Has been in our kits for more than a year now! Great alternative to entonox for pre-hospital analgesia. Currently only ambulance service to use this I believe.
