@ntare_league It’s part of the culture. It has always been the same even back in the soccer days at Kakyeka. When it comes to Ntare School culture, even the clouds know the script. 😂
Congratulations to @omujuma and @Machando04 on an outstanding campaign.
And what better place to crown the kings than The Den, our Home Grounds, where Ntare brotherhood and football come alive.
See you there.

A Historic Finale Awaits: Ntare Lions League Returns Home for the Season XVI Grand Finale
As another remarkable season of the Ntare Lions League draws to a close, anticipation is reaching fever pitch. Months of intense competition, unforgettable goals, dramatic victories, and fierce rivalries have brought the league to its defining moment, the Season XVI Grand Finale.
This year's championship is unlike any before it.
For the first time in the league's history, the grand finale will be hosted at the @ntare_league Home Grounds, marking a significant milestone in the journey of one of Uganda's most organized and celebrated alumni football competitions. The occasion will not only crown a champion but also symbolize the continued growth and permanence of a league that has become much more than football. The finale is scheduled for 29 August, with @omujuma taking on @Machando04 , and will also feature the ceremonial breaking of ground for the Ntare Lions League Home Ground development.
A Season Worth Remembering
Season XVI has showcased everything that makes the Ntare Lions League unique. Every matchday has reflected the passion, competitiveness and camaraderie that define the Ntare Old Boys fraternity. Week after week, players left everything on the pitch while supporters, families and friends created an atmosphere that has become synonymous with Sunday football.
Beyond the results, the league has continued to strengthen friendships, encourage healthy living and create networking opportunities among professionals from different generations. Every fixture has reinforced the idea that the Ntare Lions League is about preserving a lifelong brotherhood built at Ntare School.
The Road to the Final
Only two teams remain standing.
TY Omujuma and Machando FC have earned the right to contest the ultimate prize after navigating a demanding season filled with quality opposition. Their consistency, resilience and determination have brought them to the biggest stage of the season.
Now, there is only one match left.
One final sixty minutes that will decide who writes their name into Ntare Lions League history.
Home at Last
Perhaps the most emotional aspect of this year's finale is the venue itself.
For years, the league has travelled across different playing fields, building its reputation wherever it competed. Now, the Ntare Lions League is preparing to establish a permanent home, a place where generations of Ntare Old Boys will gather to celebrate sport, friendship and tradition.
Holding the finale at the Home Grounds is therefore more than a logistical decision. It is a statement of growth, ambition and confidence in the future.
The groundbreaking ceremony that will accompany the finale represents the next chapter in the league's remarkable journey, laying the foundation for a venue that future generations will proudly call home.
More Than a Football Match
The Season XVI Finale is expected to be a reunion of the Ntare fraternity.
Former students from different generations will gather not only to watch football but also to reconnect with classmates, celebrate shared memories and strengthen the bonds that have defined Ntare School for decades.
For many, the day will be about more than lifting a shield. It will be about celebrating the values of leadership, discipline, excellence and brotherhood that continue to unite Ntare Old Boys long after they leave the school gates.
A Legacy Still Growing
The Ntare Lions League has evolved into one of Uganda's finest examples of how sport can sustain alumni engagement. It has demonstrated that football can be a powerful tool for networking, mentorship, wellness and community building.
This year's finale captures that vision perfectly.
As the final whistle blows and a new champion is crowned, another chapter will begin with the development of the league's permanent home, a legacy that promises to serve generations of Ntare Lions to come.
On 29 August, history will be made.
Not just because a champion will be crowned, but because the Ntare Lions League will take another bold step towards securing its place as one of Uganda's most inspiring alumni sporting institutions.
For every Ntare Lion, this is more than a final.
It is a homecoming.
The #NLLXVI Finale is officially SET!

During my time at Ntare (2012-2017), the biggest battle/war we had with Chaapa was in 2013 which lasted for 3 days.
One amazing thing about these wars is how effortlessly students unleash their ART OF WAR skills. You have instant commanders, commandos and strategists that you ardently listen to and follow. You have instant generals, lieutants, corporals, frontline fighters, et al. Every rule of daily school life faded under the pressure of fierce pride.
Arguably the most memorable event in my school life.
👏🏽THANK YOU!
To the entire Ntare School Fraternity,
Old Boys, Staff, Students, Community, Well-Wishers, Sponsors and Stakeholders,
we extend our deepest gratitude for being an integral part of the NtareAt70 story.
