Connecticut lawmakers are pushing HB 5043 and HB 5436 — two bills that punish law-abiding gun owners instead of criminals.

HB 5043 targets common handguns used for lawful self-defense.
HB 5436 could treat basic firearm parts like barrels and slides as if they were full firearms.

More bureaucracy.
More costs.
No impact on crime.

Connecticut already has some of the strictest gun laws in the country.
