Free consultations, medications, mental health support & other goodies! Havana Specialist Hospital brought all of it to Surulere, Lagos for World Malaria Day & I was there to capture every moment. These are excerpts from the work. 📸 #WorldMalariaDay#Lagos
Just see this barbarism.
Armed animals suspected to be policemen from the Nigerian police force in delta state tied up a man in broad day light and shot him to death.
No prosecution. No court trial. Just jungle justice by Nigerian police.
WIlD ANIMALS.
@AJEnglish It is not the first time the Senate President has been accused.
Over the years, they have refused to investigate but rather bully those who speak up against his misogynistic evils.
Nigeria's Senate has suspended a female senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, after she accused its presiding officer of sexual harassment https://t.co/GZiyUX03PS
- Remove that picture, unless it’s for a beauty pageant show.
- Remove your Local Government Area, you are not contesting for chieftaincy title.
- Remove that date of birth. We don’t care. Unless of course it’s an entry level role and age is a requirement. And they ask you to add your age.
- Remove your sex! There’s a way this fuels discrimination (I will explain this one day).
- Remove your full address and just put your community and state. Example, Sabo, Kaduna.
- Remove that CGPA if you are not first class (😂😂😂😂), just write your class of degree; SECOND CLASS UPPER, even if you graduated with 4.4999999. REMOVE!
- oh my God REMOVE YOUR BVN!!!! Are you a cultist? Or are you trying to contest for CBN governorship position?
- REMOVE funny emails like: sexybetty@gmail or handsomehorlakunle@yahoo YOU ARE NOT IN SECONDARY SCHOOL. The best emails are still your full [email protected]
- Remove State of Origin, unless you are trying to work for Tinubu.
- lastly, REMOVE THOSE ROLES, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES YOU COPIED AND PASTED FROM GOOGLE AND CHATGPT.
There’s more but let me stop here.
Merry Christmas.
Oga HR.
Because it’s one of the few points that almost all Nigerians can relate to.
I too have my encounter at your Omi Adio Police Station where I went to retrieve my lost iPhone11 that a good Samaritan turned in.
It was purchased from @BestBuy , I had the box, the receipt, my picture on the screen and still it took them almost five days to hand it over and I still had to pay money.
You guys need to stop pretending that there are no issues or they’re made up.
@Maleekoyibo A cousin was shortlisted for Nigerian Navy on his way to report for training,Police stop their vehicle and picked about 4 of them.
Detained them until the date of resumption elapsed when they finally got to the camp they were sent home, that was how their dream was stopped.
Police stopped I and my wife at that ojota/Ketu fly over, we wore same clothes going for a church function. This nigga saw us at the back, told him we are going to church, then he looked at his boss and whispered “na yahoo boy” . I saw fear in her eyes as she gripped my hand. They yelled and screamed told me to come down.
Bro! I had to bring out our wedding certificate from my phone before they could let us go. The third police saga in one week of her 2019 visit.
Regardless of how she loves Nigeria, the Nigeria police made her scared till death.
I’m so sorry! This is just so sad to read!
Mehn, it’s not even just the police anymore—the unkindness and selfishness we see in our society run deeper than individual roles. At the end of the day, people go home. A police officer goes home to be a father or husband, and that corrupt secretary in the state secretariat goes home to be a wife and mother.
The more I read about people’s experiences, the clearer it becomes: systemic failures have bred a culture of unkindness and selfishness. It’s heartbreaking, and it’s a reflection of the society we’ve built.
My wife ordered something from a Nigerian vendor, and it was delivered to out house in Lagos. The vendor had already paid the delivery guy N3,700 for the service. When the delivery guy arrived, he collected another N3,700 from my gateman.
Later, when my wife and the vendor realized they had both paid for delivery, the vendor called the guy to ask for a refund. Instead of apologizing or returning the money, the guy got offended and said they were bothering him over ‘just’ N3,700.
It is crazy how people like to blame politicians for everything, but the truth is, many regular people have no integrity either. Our values are so messed up that finding an honest person feels like looking for a needle in a haystack these days.

Stay true to yourself.
Not everyone will become a billionaire, millionaire, wealthy, famous or rich.
Just stay happy, be genuinely happy with yourself and the life you have created because that is the only true thing at matters at the end of this plane.
