#LeadershipDevelopment is a huge industry. Much of what’s taught is okay.
But the implementation fails more times than not. Why?
Orgs (systems) don’t change
Support dwindling
Leaders burn out trying to practice and implement
@JeniferRobey Sending good vibes.❤️
Here are the ones that adopted my yard as their home. They were here at a few weeks old, 2 kittens survived… about 3 months old now.
@DrSWhitaker I think consistency is one of the least known true leadership characteristics. It tends to break for leadership actors who lack inner balance and principles.
I’ve always had a beef with ‘best practices’ but it’s become synonymous with copying.
It doesn’t work, especially in #leadership
There’s only one YOU.
Integrity, authenticity, continuous learning are the pillars to find your leadership style and strength.
@JDaviesPhD Atypical, unusual, outlier, divergent, etc. Extra-ordinary in my mind means completely ordinary as in absolutely average. Extraordinary, without the hyphen is synonymous with exceptional which is only representative of ordinary + additional capacities.
Timeline cleanse
This cat family adopted my yard as their new home and me as their food source. They were here for a week 2 months ago and returned.
I’m calling all my friends to find them a permanent home… crossing my fingers.
#Leadership
Genuine leaders:
Focus on strength
Acknowledge weaknesses
Learn from mistakes
Imposter leaders:
Overcompensate
Deny weaknesses
Blame others
Knowing the difference can save you time and energy put into supporting fake wannabe ‘leaders’.
I routinely come across clients who have been on "antidepressants" for 10 years between the ages of 15-25. They identify as asexual because they have no sex drive. They were never told that these drugs numb the genitals and sexual dysfunction is a common side effect.
Nearly a 1/4 of our population was prescribed a psych-drug last year. Yet the majority weren't suffering from biologically discernible 'mental illnesses' but from comprehensible human reactions to serious socio/psycho/relational problems - issues the drugs are powerless to treat.
It’s scary to think of what could happen when a generation with less human skills than any before takes over leadership.
How Artificial Intelligence will change the world by 2030 https://t.co/czXbyvK8zz
We see increasing use of #AI generated content, most are easily spotted and rarely referenced.
BUT, in academic writing, it is not okay to use without proper #citation 👇Doing so doesn’t make you smart, just a cheat.

The difference between good and bad leaders
INTEGRITY
Both good and bad leaders share:
Vision
Communication
Emotional intelligence
Strategic thinking
Adaptability
Good leaders influence, bad leaders manipulate… and many can’t tell the difference.
IMHO #KamalaHarris v #Trump
#WorldMentalHealthDay
Best thing I can say…
There’s only one YOU. Your essence.
Everything else can be changed.
Don’t tolerate and cope needlessly and endlessly.
🤗❤️
There are two fundamental flaws of AI.
1. It doesn’t know how to distinguish between correlation and causation.
2. It is biased the same way its creators are… over reliance on data for lack of understanding of humans.
Other than hard science, please don’t blindly trust it.
Knowing of things is not the same as knowing things.
The difference is experience!
I am working on a tutorial of sorts about understanding and effectively managing high IQ people whose social intelligence is known as lacking.
I can help drawing parallel with GenZ. 🤔
@DrSWhitaker Honestly, many of these would disqualify a person from being called a leader in my book.
The hardest one to deal with is inconsistent… bc most ppl can leave, adjust to, or work around known issues.
