It’s Yosemite National Park’s 131st birthday!
How is Yosemite important to you?
(And, no, that's not a current photo of Gaylor Lake and the Cathedral Range. But it's our birthday, so we're wishing for snow! Conditions are currently snow-free and smoky.)
Vendors are busy setting up on Front St because The @Issaquahchamber's #SalmonDays is here!

Seattle’s dry streak (as measured at Sea-Tac) is now at 47 days.
This is the 4th-longest stretch on record, and will likely tie for 2nd place before … wait for it … REAL, MEASURABLE RAIN arrives on Thursday!!! 💧💧💧

The Homestead Fire was caught and contained at 1.4 acres yesterday afternoon near I-90 Exit 38 on Snoqualmie district. Thanks to the fire crew for the quick action in containing this fire so quickly and the rec crews for your assistance. The fire was caused target shooting.
WA state will follow current CDC guidance and I am asking Washingtonians statewide to consider wearing a mask in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission. This is a recommendation, not a requirement.
Though we're still waiting for anything from Sea-Tac airport (Seattle's official climate stat site), here at the office we've received our first measurable precipitation in 35 days with 0.06" so far this morning. #wawx
Gov. Jay Inslee has extended moratorium protections several times, including last month. The protections will now remain in force until Sept. 30 to give landlords and tenants sufficient time to access federal aid. https://t.co/37brE8FFTJ
Since this week has been crazy busy to take photos, continuing my mountain over the city series. #Tahoma hovering over the aptly named Rainier Ave as seen from #Seattle. #TGIF
