Big moment for Tír na nÓg 💛
We’re proud to be featured on RTÉ One’s Nationwide tomorrow evening at 7pm. A chance to share our journey, our mission, and the incredible children at the heart of everything we do.
One dream. One team. Changing one child’s life at a time. ❤️🇹🇿
Tír na nÓg, the children’s foundation founded by Tralee teacher Louise Quill, celebrates two decades of life-changing work in Tanzania and this Friday the foundation’s projects in Africa over the past two decades will be showcased on RTÉ prime time show, Nationwide.
This morning, two incredible boys in my class, Lucas and Adam, handed me an envelope with €330 inside — a donation for TNN.
They’ve been quietly collecting plastic bottles and cans at home and saving the cash equivalent. Their kindness, effort and generosity has blown me away.
Tralee school teacher and ‘Big Baba’ to over 70 children in Tanzania, Derek O’Connor has been looking up from the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro to the summit of Africa's tallest mountain for 14 years – now the time has come for him to climb to the top.
From Kerry to Kilimanjaro for Tír na nÓg!
On July 20th, 7 of us — Derek, Brendan, Gary, Timmy, Niamh, Orla & Kessy — are taking on Kilimanjaro to raise €11,790 for the Tír na nÓg Children’s Foundation. That’s twice the mountain’s height (5895m)

🌟 Honoured Beyond Words 🌟
Last Friday was a moment we will cherish forever—we were deeply honoured to receive the Chairperson Award at this year's Tech Industry Alliance Leader Awards, presented by the incredible Gerry Murphy.

I am deeply honoured to be named Kerry Person of the year. To be recognised by the people of Kerry, and by the Kerry Association of Dublin, means more to be than words can express. It is an incredible privilege to receive such an award from my own community.
📣 Exciting News!! Our Children's Village project in Kilimanjaro has been nominated for The Arch Daily Building of The Year Award 2024. We would really appreciate it if you could take the time to vote for us via this link.
