We are pleased to announce the launch of the Moshood Abiola Education Fund, targeted at diligent indigent students. To kick this off, we paid WAEC fees for 100 students chosen from government-owned secondary schools in 4 LGAs in Ogun state.

We actually did consider digital cash transfers but many beneficiaries didn't have bank accounts. This is a challenge in rural, remote areas, but we'll be encouraging them to open accounts and perhaps give subsequent beneficiaries time to do so.

Hopefully, they find a way to also digitize it, from identification to payments. So it can help with data collation and financial inclusion at the same time.

Good initiative. Women can have an outsized impact on economic recovery, particularly in low- and middle-income countries and these cash transfers help vulnerable businesses and families. Also good to see someone out of office trying this.

For our maiden event, we launched a support fund targeted at women who require help to either start small businesses or expand existing ones. 110 beneficiaries drawn from across communities and markets in Abeokuta got grants of N20,000 each.
