When I was training to climb Mont Blanc, I trained for two things:
1. Physical fitness: Making sure I was fit enough to do it 20 times. This could not be the reason to fail so I eliminated the risk.
2. Mentality: Finding tricks and games, like short, highly cognitive mental puzzles to keep my mind engaged. This was the one I believed would be the hardest and it was, we all think we are mentally strong until you’re being blasted by 40 km/h winds and a -30c wind chill and everytime you think you are nearly there you realise you are not.
Do the work early, and resilience comes naturally.
Needless to say, I summited and appreciated it all because I was prepared.
People who swear by gut feeling also swear by AI.
Gut feel is just bias with confidence. AI is just maths with fluency.
They don’t understand either. But they sound certain about both.
@RealDavidIsrael Any semblance of vibes, which is a human feeling, from AI is solely due to its training data, programming and any prompt to direct it.
If you’re reading a pre-seed roadmap as a timeline with achievable milestones, that’s on you mate. You don’t need to have been around the block many times to know it’s a best guess and a wish list.
A founder who hasn’t articulated one hasn’t thought through where they’re going. That’s just a chancer.
Read it for what it is, a founder joining dots to get to the outcomes they believe today. The real question is how delusional and rigid they are when the dots don’t connect. I, for one always want to see their thought pattern.
AI and robotics promise a future of abundance, how wonderful. Yet, we are shoehorning them into a capitalist model built entirely on scarcity.
Do I need to explain more or can you see where this goes ?
