My philosophy on blocking has changed.
Whenever people hurl insults, I block. It doesn't mean I am shutting down their arguments, it means I refuse to hear their insults.
They can freely share their arguments elsewhere and I am not forced to engage with them.
@JeremyMeds91017@Salt_n_Smoke The Book of Mormon has no mechanism explaining how the Nephites ("Josephites") obtained a priesthood and the easiest explanation is that Joseph Smith didn't understand priesthood and sacrifices in the Torah. Hence the "Law of Moses" is mentioned but never described.
@JeremyMeds91017@Salt_n_Smoke Priesthood in the Torah ("Law of Moses") versus Mormonism are two different things. In Torah, it's a genetic inheritance and in Mormonism it is conferred. Jesus is said in Hebrews to have a "Melchizedek" Priesthood since he is everlasting, but that's a symbolic interpretation.
@pimomormon I want to know the morality behind putting tzitzit on your garments and why another symbol (a bracelet?) can't be used.
Also, why can't I grow crops mixed together?
It seems arbitrary without data.
@JasonPynn@stackerco One could argue that if the Church is true, it also causes good people to fall away, and if you believe in its god, he will hold them at least partially accountable.
@PiranhaPlant22@NFan_Official It sucks because I have to use a save state to load it up each time because I got tired of going into the menu each time to change it. But that's more a limitation of the original game. I wish Nintendo patched them so it could auto-detect that stuff and use it by default.
Nintendo will provide new Switch 2 models with replaceable batteries going forward. A huge win for customers. This will lead to less e-waste and more longevity for hardware. Well done, EU! Now commit to #StopKillingGames and make sure games see an increased life expectancy too.
Ultima Online once had an in-game king who was supposed to be unkillable.
He was played by the creator of the game.
During a public speech, someone threw a fire field spell at him.
The server had crashed earlier, and when he logged back in, his invincibility flag wasn’t on.
So the king just died in front of everyone.
The devs spawned demons in revenge.
The assassin escaped.
