Ok I’ll concede that the biblical texts were 100% kept, transcribed, copied, and translated perfectly for thousands of years. Or let’s just assume that. Now tell me how that makes it correct. And don’t you think that the most important person to ever live, who was prophesied of by Isaiah, Malachi and others wasn’t known of prior to his birth. And the reason. For which he came to earth to suffer and die for the sons of all those who according to Protestant thought can’t be saved unless they confess his name. So the Old Testament era folks are damned

An exmo is 1000 times more uncomfortable with the truth since they are going out of the norm into something they fear might be the wrong move. Leaving behind family and culture in the process it can’t be easy. And it makes sense you all gaslight us with your own uncomfortability at the drastic change and fear of letting family and friends down. So don’t tell me I’m uncomfortable you all might be right. That is absurd on its face.

On top of all that, we dont need to read an anecdotal review study of why people leave the church to know why it happens. For the simple reason you all tell us incessantly why you left and won’t leave us alone about it for the life of you. Hahahahaha. We already know because you already told us. Give me a break. That’s why I know for SURE already why you all leave lol

Congrats on the new baby on the way. Interesting that my wife and I just had a baby last month and have a 3 yr old.

I have been finding out what you mean by people in a trance. Or similar. I grew up in Idaho. Forced to go to church so I rebelled silently. Found my way back over a lot of years but had to do it because I wanted to, not for anyone else. God chose to give me a testimony of the restoration, Joseph smith, the Book of Mormon, and of tithing, but I’m still working on my testimony of Jesus so I imagine I have something I could learn from you.

I have been in California for 30 plus years and it is a different church culture here than it is in middle of Utah.

My kids from first wife moved there in 2020 and their experience with the culture there was horrific, but now they are used to it and love it there, but my kids have strong testimonies and I never once pressured them to go to church. We just did it.

But the Utah culture isn’t good. We don’t do clicks and popularity here in California related to church. We just don’t. All things said, my older kids turned out well.

So I have older kids and younger and I ain’t getting any younger lol

Respect bro. Thank you for sharing that. I agree that Jesus comes for us without respect for religion. I know because as a recovered alcoholic, I see God working in lives of those around me, none of whom are LDS, but he has saved all those who put their trust in Him. Especially those who are at rock bottom and then decide to look up. Awesome testimony of Jesus bro. It seems you are sola scriptura now and that’s good if you are ok with that because the Bible has brought you to Jesus. And I have no doubt you will be brought forth in the first resurrection to work along side others who have the testimony of Jesus to bring about the work of God in the millennium when he reigns for a thousand years of peace as per Revelation 20.
