Null findings are still important findings! Whole-Body vibration might not be the best choice if your goal is to acutely improve jumping performance (e.g. jump height, RSI, etc) in those with ACLR. But is this the case with landing too…? More to come!
Thrilled to share my first manuscript on ultrasound-based shape modeling of femoral bone shape after ACL reconstruction! Special thanks to @AnthonyAGatti and @Harkey_MS for their guidance and mentorship
If you're doing an interventional study, you can't evaluate changes in the experimental and control group separately and then claim the experimental group changed. Because what was even the point of including a control group? I don't understand how this is a controversial idea.

Very excited to read this! We need to be more intentional regarding the choices we make pertaining to signal filtering/processing - because it can drastically affect the interpretation of biomechanics data.

@mrobbo18 @M_Baggaley Completely agree. It’s much easier to find differences in waveforms given 100 attempts (1% of stance). Much more difficult to determine clinical/practical relevancy.
@M_Baggaley I tend to agree. At least the temporal approach tells us the same thing as evaluating differences between peaks, making it, at minimum, “equivalent” to traditional approaches. But that still doesn’t answer your question of additional benefit. 🤷🏻♂️
