Baseball America Editor-in-Chief J.J. Cooper on the latest MLB CBA proposal that would end high school draftees:
"Eliminating draft eligibility for high school players would also remove the quickest and most lucrative path to the majors for the best draft-eligible players in the game... Mike Trout debuted at 19 years old and, a year later, finished second in MVP voting. Alex Rodriguez, Mickey Mantle, Ken Griffey Jr., Bryce Harper and Johnny Bench all debuted as teenagers and quickly became stars."

NEWS: Mariners are going back to a piggyback pitching plan, with a significant alteration: Every starter will rotate through and have piggyback days through the All-Star break.

@Lyle_Goldstein@MarineLayerPod Dallas Braden on Thursdays baseball is dead episode has brought up the thought around, a team having concern of skubal going all out for a new teams playoff push while still aiming to break the bank. The possibility of protecting himself first and foremost being a concern.
So.............. MLBs strategy is a PR blitz at Low IQ fans that THE ONE AND ONLY way it can be "fair" is if the players have their salaries predetermined (with no competition)
(Not more draft picks... divisions realignment.... owners who care.... more revenue sharing)
@DerekDunphy@mattinfwNFL@17776ers Anyhow. care to try again? Attempt to read what I said this time instead of reacting like an animal because you dont know whats going on perhapse? Just a thought
@RefuseToLosePod This though isn’t the first time we’ve seen communication issues with this org and some to ing tells me it won’t be the last.. it’s an easy way to really sour the clubhouse
@TyDaneGonzalez It’s clearly what the front office wanted - zero reason the guy who only uses Munoz as a closer wouldn’t go to his closer in that exact moment
