🏴 Scotland has been assigned our first credit ratings.
They match the UK’s rating & they are better than major European and global economies like Spain, Italy & Japan.
Here’s why that’s important... 🧵
My friend Cllr @derekgglen moving his amendment to the housing resolution at Conference.
Calling for our manifesto not just to be a Programme for Governance but a Programme for Nationhood with a National Housing Mission at its heart.

Delighted to have #SNP25 support my resolution to Get Scotland Building. A housing emergency requires an emergency response. To accelerate housebuilding of all types, we need to remove the barriers that we have control over and incentivise the development we want to see.
Like Arthur Dent, it's time to lie down in the mud in front of the bulldozer and see who rusts first! Just 24 hours until Kevin Jon Davies brings Douglas Adams' ideas to life in Dunfermline. There'll be mini-Marvins to buy! Grab your ticket here: https://t.co/iIKL2qXesX
BREAKING: The SNP has won the Glenrothes Central and Thornton by-election. Congratulations to @LSHolton and her team!
👏 That’s 5 by-election wins in a row for the SNP.
Comfortable win for Lynda Holton for the SNP in the Glenrothes Central & Thornton by election - she polled 1429 votes to finish well ahead of Labour on 649. Reform took votes off the Tories.
Reform polled 541, Tories just 185 to finish fifth and last.
Don't Panic! There's still time to get your tickets for Kevin Jon Davies' whirlwind tour of the Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy and other wildly improbable ideas of legendary author Douglas Adams. https://t.co/iIKL2qXesX Saturday 7.30pm at the Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum
I'm returning to give a #hitchhikersguide talk in Scotland after last doing that in 1980, so about bloody time! Thanks to Chris and the folk of #Dunfermline and Sci-Fife. Should be a few laughs, so do come; Sat 26th April.

Too many commentators/media reports still accepting UKG line that cuts to PIP are about helping people back to work. PIP is a recognition of the additional costs of a disability/long term condition. It is NOT related to being in or out of work.
The SNP has just won two by-elections from Labour in Glasgow. No wonder with their cuts to the disabled and more austerity planned. No wonder Anas Sarwar is in trouble. Watch this and share👇
💷 MSPs are set to approve the Scottish Government Budget for 2025-26.
🤝 But Labour and the Tories will not support it.
❌ They will not support the Winter Fuel Payment, record investment in our NHS, more affordable homes or scrapping the two-child cap.

Sunday Times poll shows @JohnSwinney has turned things around and put @theSNP miles ahead of other parties.
Long way to go but it shows the impact of Swinney’s strong leadership and popular policies vs Keir Starmer’s austerity cuts, tax hikes, Brexit and lower living standards
Huge boost for our pensioners as freezing temperatures arrive: Dunfermline MSP & Cabinet Secretary Shirley-Anne Somerville set to announce today that Scotland's SNP government will RESTORE the Winter Fuel Payment cut by UK Labour at Westminster. #voteSNP
It's currently 7c in London.
It's currently -2c in Pitlochry.
A reminder that a person in Pitlochry pays more to use electricity that's generated in their town than someone in London, which generates little/nothing.
This is just one of many examples of Scotland's exploitation.
Got the keys - here's the first look at what will become our little studio, and the home of Film Education Dunfermline (F.E.D.). Time to get decorating! #DunfermlineMediaCity#FilmEducationDunfermline
