@dennyhamlin@AlextheAdm1ral Absolutely. I don’t miss a single lap of a single race if I can help it, but races are too long, 100%. I don’t want timed races, but an O’Reilly race is about the perfect sample size. I’m honestly surprised NASCAR hasn’t made a move to shorten races considering attention spans
@A_S12@NASCAR@NASCARSanDiego@SBJ@GettyImages Am I wrong to think that NASCAR has somebody out trying to get these sponsorships as the “official” brand of the sport like teams do, but in return they just keep taking sponsorship money away from teams? That seems so shitty and that’s my first thought every time I see these.
@pkligerman And when it comes to the parts conversation, the list that is manufacture driven continues to dwindle. Could it turn into an engine situation like the Truck series too? If I had a choice, I would pick your route over changing with OEM objectives any day. I just want good racing
@pkligerman This is an incredibly interesting take and I see what you’re saying here. OEM objectives change and maybe it’s best, if it’s possible, to not have the affiliation with OEMs and just ensure the racing product is good. Brand loyalty isn’t much of a thing anymore anyway IMO
