@davehodge20 When the Leafs were one of the youngest teams and couldn’t close out a series years ago the media was relentlessly on them. There is a difference in how the media treats the Leafs in Canada.
@jonassiegel He is not one of the greatest here. Very talented, skilled, yes he was.
He didn't lead, never put the team on his back in the playoffs. Was never accountable. Not close to a Gilmour or Clark.
He is the writing on a bathroom stall. "Marner played here."
@CarloColaiacovo@MarcMethot3@BCHL_Alberta 100%. The open boarders is hurting youth hockey. It's about building super teams and wins. They should be focused on coaching for all players and building a good local community teams. Losing might be part of that and good coaches work through it.
@ryanwhitney6@spittinchiclets One of two things.
Leafs showed up and gave the Oilers a pep talk.
Or…the pressure of playing in Edmonton got to the Oilers.
@CarloColaiacovo The fans deserve better. For the insane prices of tickets to watch a game, merchandise. Highest ticket prices in the league which subsidizes the “non-hockey” markets. These fans deserve better. They pay for Florida to give away playoff tickets. And this Leafs team has not heart.
