Picture this:
It’s a late August Friday night in Chicago. You and your friends are packed into a street fest, music blaring, lights glowing, and a cold beer sweating in your hand. The @Cubs are cruising with a 9 game lead in the Central. @ChicagoBears training camp is winding down, the Bears have their star edge rusher locked in, optimism is in the air! The weather’s perfect, the city feels alive, and for once everything just feels right!
Life is good!🍻

I’m not Craig Counsell and don’t make $8,000,000 so my apologies if this sounds stupid. But why are we using Ben Brown for multiple innings in a Must Win 1-Run game with a fully available bullpen going into an off day tomorrow and the cupcake Nationals in town this weekend?
I love the idea of talking to Counsell in-game right now. "Craig, your team is in a free fall, you’re about to be six games down to your old team, you have no offense and your GM is worried about 2032. How much fun is PCA?"
32 years ago today, 12-year-old Henry Rowengartner made his MLB debut in front of 35,000 fans at Wrigley Field, becoming the youngest player in Major League Baseball history.
